KELLY RIPA SCAM--FOR LUMARE CREAM
BIGGEST SCAM !! Ordered a sample of eye wrinkle cream for $5.95 on the advice of KELLY RIPA on her morning show in early February 2017.
SHAME ON KELLY RIPA FOR BEING PART OF THIS SCAM!!! I called that afternoon to be sure that there was only one charge and would only get one sample. They said it would be only one charge. When asked for verification of only one item to be shipped, Allusive eye wrinkle cream, a free sample, I was told I would get this one item at the "sample price" of $5.95.
We received 2 items in one box, not only one shipment but two. We have been charged $89.95 and $85.95 for each item. We only requested one sample type initially. Each month for two months, we were shipped both items in one box.
When we recently received our credit card bill, we found 2 charges on 2 different dates for the above charges. When we called to demand a refund for unauthorized charges, they refused to refund and would not accept returns. They asked for cancellation number and we were told by the girl that gave us the assurance of the cancellation, no cancellation number was given to us. We called to cancel the above charges and to stop sending us these or any other items.
THEY DID NOT AGAIN GIVE A CANCELLATION NUMBER WHEN WE CANCELLED SEVERAL DAYS AGO ---BUT THEN ASKED FOR CANCELLATION NUMBER WHEN ASKED FOR REFUND WHICH WE DID NOT GET THEN OR EVEN NOW. We contacted the credit card company and they were very familiar with the scam.
They reversed charges and put this transaction in dispute. This will probably go on for several months and am very disappointed in KELLY RIPA for recommending this product--I WONDER IF SHE EVEN KNEW ABOUT THIS SCAM AND WHAT HER CUT IS ON THIS VERY DECEITFUL SCAM.

Ripoff and little recourse
I have really bad bags under my eyes so I wanted to try Soliel; I ordered the Soliel and was given a choice to add Lumanere, which I did, with the only charge being for shipping. There was absolutely nothing about a 14 day trial period before being charged full price.
I'm very computer literate and I always look for the "gotcha". I received an email confirming the order, but the total charge for both was $28; this included two $10 charges for each product (handling? unclear notation on the charges) plus shipping, which was a reasonable charge. Again, there was nothing on the confirmation email to alert me that this was a 14-day free trial.
I tried both products, but especially the eye cream, for close to a month. There was absolutely no difference or improvements. When I received my credit card statement, I saw three charges that added up to the $28 I agreed to pay. Then, further down there were 2 more charges for almost $90 each with descriptions and different phone numbers.
I called the phone number for one of the products and got options for each for reorders. Finally, by pressing 0, I got a customer representative named David. David explained that, since I didn't return the products within 14 days, I was charged the full price for each. First, I went through cancelling the "automatic reorders" so that I would get charged again; I haven't had another credit card statement since then, so I have only his assurance that I won't be charged again.
Then I told him I wanted the $90 charges credited back to my account. David told me that he couldn't do that so I told him I would write as many negative reviews to warn others; that didn't help. Then I told him I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. He said something like "Are you saying you are going to dispute the charge" as if he had to get that statement confirmed and then said he could credit half of the charge back.
I told him that was good enough and that I wanted to talk to a supervisor. After continuing to complain, he finally told me that if I returned the products, he could credit the full amount but that I would be responsible for the return postage. Note that, even though I was initially talking about one of the products, I made sure that he was taking care of cancelling reorders for BOTH products. I still felt that I was being ripped off, so I insisted on speaking to a supervisor.
He said I would receive a call in 24 to 48 hours. I asked what the caller ID would show, since I don't answer phone calls from unfamiliar numbers and he told me it would show the number I just called. While I was on the phone, I got information on how to return the products and he gave me specific info on the address and to write certain numbers on the outside of the envelope. He gave me this information reluctantly as if he really didn't want to do that.
I asked how I could be sure that they would credit my account and he said if I followed his instructions I would get the credit. Not exactly encouraging! No one called within a week, so finally, I bought a padded envelope and mailed the product back, following his instructions to the letter. Then I called my credit card company (I've used the same credit union for over 25 years) and the young lady informed me that she could remove the charges BUT I would have to get a new credit card to do so.
That isn't appealing to me because, as a business person, I have a number of recurrent charges that I would then have to notify of the changes - plus it would leave me without a credit card (I have only one) for up to 10 days. Finally I decided not to do that although, if I receive further charges, I may have to go that route. So, my main complaint is that the terms of the "free trial" weren't spelled out anywhere - including any fine print or on my confirmation email. If the products didn't work, I was already out $28, but I could live with that.
But I couldn't live with another $180 for the products that are worthless. My secondary complaint is that I was totally at the mercy of this unscrupulous company who is taking advantage of people every day. They obviously have a routine starting with they can't refund the money, they can refund half of the money and then they can refund all of the money if you say the right things during the call.
At the end of my call with David, I remarked that I bet he dealt with these calls all day long and his reply was "That's my day" so they know that the product is worthless and that they've got peoples' money and credit card or bank account number and they can really do whatever they want to do. Just don't go into this unless you know especially that it is a 14 day free trial and it will cost you more money to get out of it.

How To Get Your Money Back
I had exactly the same issue regarding the "Free Sample". My bank contacted me as they felt the charges may have been fraudulent.
I was having multiple amounts debited to my Card, each for different amounts. My bank credited back those charges & on their advice I had that Card cancelled & another issued. Apparently, and sadly, this isn't the first time my bank has seen this. Well over a year ago, maybe two, I had much the same issue with another skin care company.
I phoned them & had no joy UNTIL!! I told them I was going to report them to the Australian Federal Government. Their attitude changed instantly & I was provided the return address. It cost a bit in postage but not nearly the near $200 I was being charged.
The reason I said "Federal" government was because these rip-off companies are American based & conceived and the word 'Federal' is what they understand. If I'd said "Commonwealth and/or State Government" I'm almost certain I'd not have had the back-peddling that I did. In fact, I not only said Federal Government, I said I'd also report them to the ACCC. I've a strong feeling they know what the ACCC can and will do.
Give it your best ladies! Hit them with phone calls and emails including emailing their Head Office. I'm fairly sure you'll be able to see the city and state for the product in very small print somewhere on the container. If you can't read it, take a pic with a smart phone then enlarge it on the screen.
Once they know you're serious and you will never let it go, they will listen and either just Credit your account or have you return then credit. I strongly recommend you have a new Card issued so they won't be able to take so much as 1 cent from you in the future. And you'll have peace of mind.
Wishing everyone a happy ending to a disgraceful situation. As I told these people, you simply cannot do this in Australia, we just don't do business that way.
Lumanere - soleil
Dumb me...scamm 100%...very very deceiving..I got the product but I could not use it at all. So I returned it and had a tracking number.
But they still took $88.62 out of my account. I called them twice March 22, 2017 and talked with Mr. Alvin and he said they would credit my account. Well its April 1st and I called again and talked with another rep by the name of Cimir Confirmation #C834726 and she said once we order the product, we cannot return it back to them.
I returned the first ones I rec'd March 16th and I rec'd and another box of them and had it RTS. The gal (rep) said today I should be getting the product back. I said there better not be another $88.62 taken out of my account. She said there should not be.
Because I cancelled it. Do not order because if you cannot use it they take your money and cannot return it at all. I think it in not right at all how you run your business.
I did call back again and I talked with Alvin the same rep with Soleil and he said he was sorry that I will not get a refund that I will get another set no charge of course since it is paid for. I JUST WANT TO BE SURE MY ACCOUNT IS CLOSED 100%....Thank you Kittty

Trickery
They promise you a 14 day free trial, believe me if you don't cancel in 14 days you will be charged no matter what! They charged me $89.84 for the facial cream and $88.62 for the eye cream after I cancelled.
When I called to find out why they said I cancelled on the 15th day. (weekends included). Mind you, I already paid $$3.86 for the facial cream and $4.71 for the eye cream that was supposed to be free! So in total I have paid $247.03 because it includes bank fees on a product I'm not sure even works!
I'm so pissed, what a scram.
I never would have agreed to this, however I take full responsibility for not reading all the bad reviews this product has gotten. This company should be ashamed of these selves, customers should be warned about your trickery!

Lumanere fraud
I too have been taken - like all the comments above. Retrocharged $178.46 for my FREE samples.
The reason given by Lumanere customer service is that it was really a 15 day trial and that I needed to cancel my "trial" (already having received the products) with the 15 days. I have gone back through the order material, including the order comfirmation and the email confirmation and NOWHERE does it say anything about the 15 day cancel requirement.
Customer service also told me that the charges may be taken off by my credit card but that they'd be right back on later. I have disputed the charges with my credit card anyway and feel as though I have the paper work to back me up.
Horrible and a scam
Did the free trail tap no on the eye cream even when they call me I said no over and over customer service can't help you they give you an # to call which is automatic next thing I know getting charge $40. To cancel something I never agreed to in the 1st place This whole experience was nothing but bait and switch scam with horrible customer service that can't even help the consumer why have a rep if there nothing they can do
I want to cancel
Could not find information regarding my subscription. Then how do you bill me and send me products?
